A designated zone is an area which has high security, is CCTV guarded and has limited access of people and goods which makes GMT Logistics an approved & certified FTA Designated Zone for excisable goods. In this designated zone/ area, excise tax is not applicable and is also called an excise warehouse. Tobacco products, carbonated drinks, energy drinks, etc come under excisable goods, hence, are applicable to be taxed. But, as GMT Logistics is an approved & certified FTA Designated Zone, excisable goods stored in our warehouse are not taxed. Along with this, we have a dedicated team who is responsible for the customs clearance, documentation and freight forwarding for these goods.
